SUMMARYAt Armor Defense, data enables us to provide valuable insights to our business, customers, and teams and is used to power our systems and solutions. We seek an experienced machine learning engineer to assist us in our objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in training various types of models, along with natural curiosity and a creative mind. While doing all that is required to provide insights from our data, the ideal candidate may be asked to provide data that supports answers to various questions by connecting the dots to uncovering hidden opportunities that may realize the data’s full potential. As part of a team of specialists, the candidate will work to both improve upon existing visions, as well as help innovate and create new visions for the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Additional duties may be assigned as required)
- Assist in identifying and integrating new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work closely with engineering teams to assist in the development of data driven and AI augmented products.
- Execute analytical experiments to help solve problems across various domains and industries.
- Able to support a continuous learning model
- Identify relevant datasets for model needs and a deep understanding of developing features into a combined feature set.
- Ability to determine and utilize best practices regarding suitable algorithms and models to train; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns
- Five or more years of experience in machine learning development
- Experience and familiarity with Continuous Machine Learning pipelines
- Experience with binary, numeric, and categorical based models for anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling in the context of alerts and incidents
- Experience with the use of weighted loss functions, learning rate schedulers and adaptive optimizers for categorical based models.
- Advanced Data Engineering (ETL) skillset
- Experience with Excel, Microsoft Power Platform, MS SQL
- One or more programming languages (at least one of: Python, R, Julia, Rust)
- Experience in Azure Cloud is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer science with a focus on machine learning, statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline
- SOC Analyst/Engineering background (preferred not required)
- Two or more years of project management experience dealing with data driven objectives
- (Optional) Professional certification
