What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position at Armor Healthcare?
Responsibilities
Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation and health education
- Works closely with the BHD and / or BHPs in identifying appropriate treatment plans for at-risk patients, or as needed
- Intermittently attends morning huddle calls, when indicated and / or when there are high-risk patients that require multidisciplinary treatment planning and collaboration
- Obtains patient histories, follows up with medication verification efforts, reviews pertinent medical history and develops patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format
- Provides support in coordinating the activities of patient care and / or support staff
- Participates in developing specific mental health policies and procedures, when indicated
