Position Overview
As an Environmental Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant environmental regulations and implementing strategies to minimize the environmental impact of its operations. This is a hybrid position located in North Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage air permit compliance for all three manufacturing plants.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting for EPCRA Tier 2 and EPCRA TRI submissions.
- Develop and implement hazardous waste management protocols in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead pollution prevention initiatives to minimize environmental impact and enhance sustainability efforts. Monitor and manage stormwater compliance, including permitting and reporting requirements.
- Maintain the multimedia compliance calendar, ensuring all regulatory deadlines are met.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and training to plant personnel on environmental regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate and conduct quarterly visits to each plant to support environmental initiatives and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on air permits, EPCRA, hazardous waste, and pollution prevention.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Certification in environmental management (e.g., CHMM, REM) is a plus.
