Description
1. Basic Job Purpose :
Planning, organizing, and controlling the timely flow of products through a Manufacturing
Cell / Department to support both internal and external customer delivery requirements. Serving as the
primary interface between Production Management, Manufacturing first line supervision, Program
Management, and Planners, as well as interfacing with Engineering and Quality.
Providing status of jobs within assigned Programs from the time of initial kit / part release, through
manufacturing process, to delivery of finished product to internal and or external customers, Epicor
maintenance, aging / past due orders, floor stock inventory control, and the resolving of material
shortages as they relate to open production orders. Track all parts, drawings, and travelers throughout
the manufacturing process. Documenting progress using excel spreadsheets. Proactively coordinates
production activities utilizing provided schedules. Works closely with Planners, Buyers, Materials
Kitters, and Shipping & Receiving Team to facilitate the flow of Jobs to and from various manufacturing
departments & workstations. Track and expedite pacing items and ensure On Time Delivery Goals are
met.
2. Assignment of Functions or Duties :
- Work with scheduler to update schedule
- Track material and parts
- Create and track Travelers / Jobs
- Track and maintain accuracy of production progress
- Assist other departments as required
- Support company vision and mission statement
- Coordinate activities between other departments to support program needs
- Proactive approach to delivering shop floor management, process control and day-to-day
stakeholder management.
