Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to enhance skills and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement performance evaluation programs for warehouse personnel.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained to meet operational demands.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Logistics:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Implement and maintain best practices for warehouse organization and space utilization.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse activities.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transport teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to optimize productivity and efficiency.
Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and company EHS policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training programs for warehouse staff.
- Implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards and improve workplace safety.
- Lead emergency response planning and coordinate drills for fire, spills, and other incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
Facility & Equipment Management:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, conveyors, and racking systems.
- Ensure facility infrastructure, including lighting, HVAC, and security systems, is properly maintained.
- Manage vendor contracts and service agreements for equipment maintenance and facility upkeep.
- Implement energy-efficient and sustainable practices to reduce operational costs.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and prevent loss or damage.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and optimize stock movements.
- Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits as required.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage stock replenishment and demand forecasting.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, warehouse safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Experience in equipment maintenance, facility management, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in warehouse, with 3 years’ experience in leadership preferably in a logistics environment with EHS and facility/equipment oversight.
- Prior experience working within OSHA safety requirements.
- Forklift train the trainer and OSHA 30 (preferred and/or wiliness to take the training)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- May require standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods.
