As our Logistics Supervisor, you will lead Receiving and/or Shipping operations across our U.S. facilities. In this role, you will manage warehouse operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure timely customer deliveries. This position directly impacts our company's ability to meet customer expectations through effective supply chain management.
Pay: $30 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday 1st Shift
Specific Duties/Essential Functions:
- Lead a team of 10 to 12 logistics staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Actively participate in warehouse operations as a working supervisor, jumping in as needed to ensure tasks are completed.
Shipping and Receiving Management
- Manage end-to-end shipping and receiving processes, including order processing, inventory maintenance, and timely shipments to ensure smooth customer deliveries.
- Maintain organized inventory using ERP systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate pickups with various carriers for timely product deliveries.
- Coordinate international shipments and prepare necessary documentation.
Intercompany Logistics
- Coordinate all intercompany distributions, including international shipments to various locations.
Collaboration and Integration
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics processes with company-wide operations.
Policies, Procedures, and Compliance
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in operations.
- Quality and Compliance
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.
Administrative and Customer Support
- Address shipping-related complaints, lost items, damages, supplier returns, and claims.
- Track and report shipment results, striving for 100% accuracy.
- Ensure all shipments comply with interstate traffic laws and regulations.
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Extensive experience in import/export logistics and compliance.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear recommendations.
- Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented approach and bias for action.
- Self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to achieve results.
- Excellent communication skills in all situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and experienced in forklift operation.
