Why?
New Life Camp (NLC), a nonprofit based in Raleigh, NC seeks a new Executive Director. The current Executive Director will retire later this Spring, and the Board has formed a Transition Committee to guide the successful leadership transition.
New Life Camp, currently celebrating its 75th year, exists to love, accept and introduce children and their families to Jesus Christ and equip them to live lives that glorify God through adventure, exhilaration, equipping, and belonging.
Both New Life Camp’s past and its future are firmly rooted in summer camp. Thousands have made decisions for Christ and countless stories of lives transformed have originated in the camp’s cabins and on its grounds through the years. New facilities from a recent capital campaign position New Life Camp to better serve even more children and families on the 72-acre wooded oasis in North Raleigh.
What will you do as New Life Camp’s next Executive Director?
As a baptized believer, the Executive Director is responsible for executing the mission and vision of New Life Camp in alignment with the Christian principles and governance policies as established by and with oversight from the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is the primary leader and ambassador for the organization, serving as the steward for all ministries and services of the camp. The Executive Director leads decision making, influences direction and manages execution. The position engages staff, partners, and churches, locally and nationally in pursuit of New Life Camp’s mission to love and accept children right where they are and walk with them toward God’s best for their lives through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The Executive Director is responsible for the stewardship of the organization financially, operationally, and spiritually. The role is also a catalyst for fundraising, key donor initiatives and identifying new opportunities for financial support and revenue growth to support the ministry.

Why New Life Camp?
Founded in 1950, New Life Camp, located in Raleigh, North Carolina has had the privilege of blessing kids with an opportunity to experience the pure joys and freedom of summer camp, while providing them a haven that fosters spiritual growth and the love of Christ. In more recent years, New Life Camp’s reach has expanded throughout the community to partners of all ages, becoming a second home for churches, home schoolers and sports leagues alike. As a result, the platform for ministry has increased and the camp is maturing, flourishing as an organization and continues to advance its mission throughout the Triangle. Current programming includes; day and overnight camps, athletics, academic enrichment, after school, home school, retreats, and other outreach initiatives.
New Life Camp has been running our programs with an incredible safety record and a great reputation within the community. NLC offers a variety of programs for children 4-18 years old. Review of candidates will continue until the position is filled. The salary range for this position starts at $85,000 and has the option of living in a newly renovated onsite residence. In addition, the benefits package includes medical, dental, life, short and long-term disability insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, accrued vacation and sick time, 10 paid holidays, and a phone allowance.
