Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various flooring surfaces in commercial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental services, custodial practices, and floor care techniques to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all building occupants.
Duties
- Execute specialized floor care tasks such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to enhance the appearance of hard surface floors.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment to remove stains and maintain cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services in various areas of the facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing equipment and supplies after use.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete larger cleaning projects as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in environmental services or custodial work is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and carpet cleaning methods.
- Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and moving throughout the facility.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
