What You’ll Do:
You’ll be at the heart of Armstrong’s operations, tackling tasks like:
- Building, maintaining, and upgrading aerial and underground HFC and FTTH.
- Climbing poles, ladders, and using climbing gaffs and lifts when needed.
- Operating a range of Armstrong equipment—bucket trucks, forklifts, backhoes, trenchers, and more.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reading and interpreting Armstrong’s network designs and construction plans.
- Keeping daily logs and inventory records accurately.
- Following NEC construction guidelines and Armstrong safety policies
- Maintaining equipment and vehicles to meet Armstrong’s standards.
- Pitching in with other tasks as needed.
What You’ll Need:
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
- Physical capabilities: lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs. and climbing skills to safely handle ladders and lifts.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written directions, even when the clock’s ticking.
- Strong decision-making skills with an ethical approach.
- Availability to work after hours as needed—especially during storms or emergency situations.
- A valid OH driver’s license (and a CDL with endorsements is a bonus!).
