Job Summary
Material Handler II - WEPA is responsible to accurately weigh the amounts of scrap disposed of daily. Also, they will be responsible for the housekeeping and scrap collection from the soak tanks, and the Waste-To-Energy Processing Area (WEPA) and safe handling of material pending disposal.

4/10 workweek or 3/12 workweek
1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift

Job Summary

Primary Responsibilities
- Must be able to operate Grinder and Shredder.
- Must maintain the WEPA area clean and organized.
- Will collect scrap from all the necessary buildings and stage for WEPA blend.
- Will prepare and organize cardboard and other inert material for WEPA blend.
- Will Power Wash and clean WEPA equipment and ground surfaces as needed.
- Will ensure proper collected drum scrap labeling.
- Ability to adhere to all work instructions per applicable MSPIs, SDS, Safety, and Environmental Procedures.
- Position requires employees to be cross-trained or transfer to other programs, or departments by incorporating them into a team environment as requested.
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above.
- Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak, write, and read basic English.
- SDS/MSPI overview.
- Forklift certification.
- Hazardous materials first responder certification.
- Power washing, Confined Space, and Lockout/Blockout certified.
- Basic math skills
- Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
- Demonstrate ability in the Armtec competencies as an employee: customer focus, ethics and values, problem solving, integrity and trust, functional/technical skills, listening, action-oriented, composure and values diversity.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.
