Experienced Retail Store Manager *HOURS 10-6

Army Barracks is a unique Army/Navy retail store open to the public. While specializing in military surplus, camping, survival and tactical gear, as well as airsoft guns and accessories we sell so much more. Offering a large variety of men's, women’s and children’s clothing, head wear, , gloves, backpacks, knives, swords and many novelty items. We are passionate about creating a memorable shopping experience that customers will want to return to and share.

Ideal candidates for the FULL TIME MANAGEMENT position should have the following characteristics and qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 plus years of retail store management experience with a proven, successful track record in assisting management or management , preferably in specialty retail
• Metric/numbers-driven: achieving store and company goals
• Sales focused while engaging guests in creating a fun, memorable working environment
• Prior success in recruiting, hiring and developing teams to high level of success
• Models professional and personal integrity at all times
• Balances the appropriate levels of warmth and dominance in his/her management style
• Accountable for results; takes pride and ownership of store operations
• Attention to detail; Able to plan ahead while being flexible and adaptable in an ever changing retail environment
• Passionate, ambitious and success oriented.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.
• Ability to walk, stand or crouch for 8 hour shifts. This is not an office management position. You will be on the store sales for all of your scheduled shifts.
• Open availability: We have an amazing store schedule of 10-6, 7 days a week. You will be scheduled for 5 days a week.
• **Weekends are required to be considered for this position

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the retail store, including inventory management, merchandising, customer service, cash register duties etc
• Hire, train and supervise and train retail staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.
• Utilize strong communication skills to interact with customers, resolve issues, and drive sales.
• Implement retail management strategies to optimize store performance and achieve sales targets.
• Oversee store maintenance, ensuring a clean and organized environment for customers and staff.
