Job Description
- Serve as lead systems administrator for broad and complex Army Cyber Operations in support of the Army / Joint initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of Army Cyber Operations.
- Plan and carry out difficult and complex assignments to lead studies to identify improvements in the way IT architecture is applied to key business functions.
- Ensure the rigorous application of information security and information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the systems administration process.
- Perform needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved IT solutions to emerging cyber threats.
- Develop cost estimates for new and modified IT systems.

In addition to the above competencies, you must also demonstrate one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the federal service which includes work that involves : 1) Devising solutions to problems for which precedents are lacking and which require innovative approaches and system designs; 2) Installing, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining hardware and software systems in support of cyber operations; AND 3) Resolving hardware / software interface and interoperability problems in support of cyber operations.
