Job Description: The Awards & Retail Coordinator is responsible for managing the fulfillment of regimental awards while assisting customers in the Army Engineer Association’s retail store. This role requires strong organizational skills to process award requests accurately and efficiently, as well as customer service abilities to support in-store and online merchandise sales

Location: The Engineer Regimental HQs, located inside the John B. Mahaffey Museum Complex in Fort Leonard Wood.
Qualifications:
- Mature, professional demeanor, and ability to work with a team in the accomplishment of time sensitive projects and missions.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
- Some administrative experience in an office environment and proficient computer/internet skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows.
Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute. (Preferred)
- Ability to assist customers in a courteous and timely manner.
- Ability to answer phone and email correspondence in a courteous manner.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to get access on and off FLW
- Ability to lift 30 pounds, walk and stand for up to six hours a day.
- Ability to count money and make change.
- Proficient oral and written communications, with attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to a changing and multi-task-oriented environment, also involving growing programs.
- Knowledge of military ranks and organizations (desired).
- High school diploma (Preferred)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and provide assistance with merchandise selection.
- Process transactions accurately at the point-of-sales (POS) system. (Lightspeed)
- Restock, organize, and maintain a clean and welcoming store environment.
- Inform customers about product features, benefits, and promotions.
- Handle merchandise returns and resolve customer inquiries professionally.
- Assist with online orders, packaging, and shipment processing
- Review and verify award submissions to ensure they meet eligibility criteria.
- Generate award certificates and assemble award packages.
- Maintain records of awards issued and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Pack and ship awards efficiently while coordinating with shipping providers.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding award applications, status updates, and eligibility.
Preferred Skills:
- Some administrative experience in an office environment and proficient computer/internet skills, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows.
- Basic analytical and math skills to create and analyze reports and spreadsheets.

Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
