Summary This position is located at the West Point Golf Course. Responsibilities Manages, plans, and directs the daily operations of a golf course facility to include golf course maintenance. Represents the activity at conferences, to special interest groups and other agencies. As a second level supervisor reviews the actions of subordinate supervisors including other PGA Professionals. Reviews financial reports, estimates projected costs, and develops activity financial plan and operating budgets to include Capital Purchase and Minor Construction. Prepares financial and operational briefings as required. Responsible for all food and beverage operations within the facility. Provides and maintains teaching program for patronage at the individual and group levels, to include personal lesson participation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of experience managing or directing the activities of a golf course. A 4-year college degree in a business-related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience. This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. If substituting 1 year of experience for education, the education must be reflected on your resume and your degree / transcript uploaded at the time of application to be considered eligible for this position. In accordance with IMCOM Regulation 215-1, Chapter 4-3u., each Golf Manager must be a Professional Golfers Association Class A Certified Member in good status. Those Non-PGA Member golf managers that have successfully completed Level II PGA training & I and Superintendents Courses meet this requirement. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
