The Army Installation Management Command is responsible for managing and supporting the installation of various facilities within MWR on Fort Wainwright, Alaska.
We are seeking a highly skilled Hospitality Specialist - Beverage Service to join our team.
**Job Summary**
This position will operate a small full-service bar, mixing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Responsibilities include recording sales, making change or preparing charge slips in accordance with operating procedures, stocking the bar, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Mix and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Record sales and manage cash transactions accurately
- Stock the bar and maintain inventory levels
- Clean and sanitize the bar area and equipment
- Monitor and direct the work of other bar staff as needed
**Requirements**
- Meet state/local age requirements for serving alcohol
- Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds
- Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory
- Have skill in mixing and serving beverages
- Ability to monitor and direct the work of other bar staff
**Benefits**
- Overtime pay for work exceeding 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in the administrative workweek
- Sunday premium pay for working Sunday shifts
- Night shift differential for work performed between 1500-2400 hours
**Additional Information**
Please note that this is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position, and employees are entitled to overtime pay and night shift differential. Additionally, up to 25% recruitment and retention incentive may be authorized for positions offering at least a guarantee of 10 hours per week.
This job requires the ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and take necessary remedial action. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
