Job Description:
The Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist is responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment used in the Army National Guard Units. This includes self-propelled artillery, towed artillery, and other armored equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
- Use diagnostic techniques to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in heavy equipment.
Requirements:
To be successful as a Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist, you must have experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic system operations. You must also have experience in fitting and adjusting parts and assemblies, as well as using hand tools and test equipment.
Education and Training:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior military experience and technical training are preferred.
