**Job Title:** Operations and Training Specialist
**Summary:** This is a National Guard Title 32 excepted service position. The purpose of this role is to manage and direct the activities of the Operations and Training Division, ensuring ranges, training facilities, training aids, and devices are available to users of the training site.
**Responsibilities:
- Formulates long and short-range plans for the development of range facilities and training areas.
- Develops program documents for funding standard target systems and remote engagement target systems identified for use on range facilities programmed in the five-year range development plan.
- Oversees and directs the work of one or two subordinates assigned to the Operations and Training Division.
- C coordinate with user organizations for use of ranges and training facilities.
- Reviews and approves schedules to ensure maximum training opportunities.
- Conducts surveys of users to assess the adequacy of existing facilities to meet training requirements.
- Reviews training project proposals and recommends approval, disapproval, or modifications to the Operations and Plans Officer.
**Requirements:**
National Guard membership is required. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position.
