Job Description: As a Gunsmith Specialist, you will be responsible for performing accurization of national match weapons and repairing small arms. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurization of national match weapons: You will select, fit, and alter parts to improve the weapon's performance.
- Repair small arms: You will diagnose and identify mechanical deficiencies and/or malfunctions in weapons, including automatic pistols, revolvers, shotguns, automatic rifles, grenade launchers, machine guns, and rocket launchers.
- Test fire weapons: You will test fire weapons to ensure they meet desired performance requirements.
Requirements:
- Education and experience: You must have at least 18 months experience or training with substantial mechanical skill to effectively and efficiently repair, overhaul, and rebuild small arms.
- Technical knowledge: You must have a working knowledge to read and interpret instructions, repair manual, specifications, and drawings, as well as a knowledge of shop mathematics sufficient to use testing devices and measuring instruments.
- Tools and equipment: You must be proficient in the use and maintenance of hand tools and equipment, including drills, files, precision gages and measuring instruments, magnafluxing equipment, and borescopes.
