Job Description
Server Banquets: (Server, Waiter or Waitress; Food and Beverage Server Job Summary:
Job Tasks: 1. Understand Catering Event Orders (CEO) and how to use the information for events.
2. Sets up stations, buffets, place settings, and performs assigned (side) prep work.
3. Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon arrival and seating.
4. Assembles food on tray; procures items from each station as necessary.
5. Serves meals; places dishes by courses in front of each person.
6. Checks back to ensure member and guest satisfaction; replenishes drinks as necessary.
7. Removes soiled dishes.
8. Serves dessert, coffee and after-dinner drinks.
9. Handles all chits prescribed by standard operating procedures.
10. Keeps tables, dining room and bus station areas clean.
11. Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
12. Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
13. Attends pre-function meetings as requested by manger.
14. Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
15. Consistently follows local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
16. Performs other appropriate duties assigned by Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school education required. Previous serving experience strongly preferred.
SCHEDULE: 4-5 shifts/week. Monday through Sunday.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and stand for lengthy periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Employee is regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee is also required to stand and reach with hands and arms and regularly use hands and fingers.
