Job Description
Army Navy Country Club, a prestigious private member-owned Platinum Country Club with two locations in Northern Virginia. Army Navy Country Club is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Intern to join our Fairfax facility. This is a Seasonal, immersive internship opportunity that offers hands-on experience in the dynamic world of food and beverage operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Team to ensure the delivery of 5-Star service to our esteemed members and their guests.
- Coordinate with Food and Beverage Team, assisting in maintaining a high standard of service quality.
- Engage in front-of-house (FOH) food and beverage operations, taking an active role in daily activities such as serving tables, hosting, food-running and other line-level positions.
- Engage in banquet operations and vendor relations. This includes scheduling, purchasing and inventory.
- Assist with menu planning & development
- Learn and practice the hiring process
Qualifications and Standards
- Enrollment in a hospitality or culinary program is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and a problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to be hands-on and learn various aspects of food and beverage operations.
- Availability to work at Fairfax, Virginia location
- Ability to work during varied hours of the day as well as weekends and holidays
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
- Ability to push, pull and lift 40 lbs.
