Position Overview
The IT and Data Support Technician is a foundational member of the IT team, responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of various IT systems and processes, with a strong focus on data analysis and accuracy. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, a passion for solving technical issues, and an aptitude for analyzing data to support operational goals. The IT and Data Support Technician will assist with day-to-day tasks, including system updates, member data management, and providing backup support for front office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support
- Address issues related to printers, Jonas software, and other miscellaneous errors.
- Perform daily updates for the Jonas system and monitor software uploads.
- Provide technical support for the golf store, including inventory updates and system troubleshooting.
- Maintain and troubleshoot office equipment, including the postage machine, document stuffing machine, scanning station (physical maintenance and recreating setups), and shredder equipment.
- System and Data Management
- Perform Jonas data checks to ensure consistency in member information, including phone numbers, addresses, and other key data points.
- Analyze data trends and discrepancies to improve data accuracy and system efficiency.
- Monitor and process EAFs accurately.
- Conduct archive maintenance for both documents and member records, including researching archive requests as needed.
- Manage and maintain document storage rooms, including maintaining shredder equipment and coordinate shredding services.
- Update member photo records and exception reports within Jonas.
Website and Member Management
- Perform updates and modifications to statement options on the club website.
- Monitor absent member usage and update member log pages.
- Ensure timely completion of website uploads, including MemberFirst data.
Administrative Support
- Provide backup support for the front office team as needed.
- Prepare materials and assist with setup for the annual meeting, including managing the stoplight system.
- Support member ID card production, including single membership and MemberID cards.
- Handle bag tag billing processes efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , or ITIL) are highly desirable.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar IT support or administrative role.
- Familiarity with Jonas software or similar systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.
Technical Expertise:
- Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Access, and familiarity with Excel and Outlook.
- Understanding of website maintenance and updates.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data to identify trends and improve processes.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
