Manufacturing Supervisor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and fostering a safe and efficient workplace. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to motivate and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, coordinates, and supervises employees and activities within the fabrication department to ensure an effective and efficient department operation that meets safety, quality, and production standards.
• Monitor production processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to ensure quality standards are upheld.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, employee performance, and inventory levels.
• Ensure department is 2 weeks ahead of production by scheduling and assigning personnel to appropriate areas.
• Simplify the material flow to warehouse and assembly to improve nesting efficiency.
• Confirm raw materials needed are in stock or ordered ahead of time.
• Oversee quality assurance and verify output according to specifications.

Skills

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff at all levels.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools for tracking production metrics.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience supervising staff in manufacturing environment.
• Ability to multi-task and take initiative.
• Effective organization and leadership skills.
• Strong computer knowledge.
• Refrigeration experience a strong plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
