Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Operations Manager at Arnet Pharmaceutical Corp is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process to ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and cost targets are met. This individual will plan, direct, and control production operations, select and develop a competent operations team, and organize them effectively to maximize human resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and control production operations to meet delivery requirements, quality standards, and cost targets.
- Maintain effective planning and management of manufacturing operations to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Select, develop, and motivate a competent operations team to ensure maximum human resource utilization.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintenance scheduling of the Manufacturing area.
- Schedule manpower needed in every manufacturing area.
- Conduct logistic planning and analysis of production lead times.
- Responsible for timekeeping system of production personnel.
- Attend daily production meetings.
- Evaluate equipment performance and PMs to ensure optimal operation.
- Hand-on capability to help specify and monitor equipment fixtures, jigs, and tools needed to optimize the manufacturing process.
- Enforce SOPs to maintain quality standards.
- Review and modify existing equipment and production methods to reduce costs and improve operating efficiency.
- Ensure long-range planning and review of manufacturing operations to meet strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement effective quality control programs to meet quality standards and objectives.
- Contribute to short and long-range growth and profitability of the business unit.
- Establish and maintain company image through vendor, customer, and community contacts.
- Assume responsibility for new product and/or process introduction.
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics Standards.
- Responsible for Manufacturing KPIs.
- Collaborate with Planning and Packaging departments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or Technical degree.
- 10 years' experience managing teams in a high-volume Nutraceutical/Pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and environment.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Metrics reporting.
- Able to handle multiple tasks.
- Experience using ERP and work order transaction systems to control shop floor scheduling and inventory.
- Able to work under pressure.
