Position Overview

Summary/Objective
We are looking for an experienced individual skilled in servicing and performing minor repairs on a wide range of construction equipment, including machinery from Volvo, Caterpillar, Bobcat, and John Deere, as well as portable support equipment like air compressors, welders, and light plants.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain a current CDL Class B, DOT Medical Card, and an insurable driving record
- MSHA certification required or the ability to become MSHA certified
- A minimum of one year of mechanical experience, particularly in construction equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance on construction equipment
- Travel to various job sites as needed
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble construction equipment
- Diesel mechanic experience with knowledge of yellow iron or completion of a diesel mechanic program
- Process field service work orders and obtain purchase orders from customers daily
- Open and close work orders as necessary
- Answer phone calls for service jobs and provide timely communication regarding job status, progress, or any issues
- Conduct oil changes on construction equipment according to company standards and OEM guidelines
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Use troubleshooting software and laptop to diagnose issues in the field
Non-Essential Job Functions:
- Adhere to all safety requirements at all times
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Keep a tidy and organized workspace
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance of service equipment
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and coworkers
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines during daily activities
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing 50-75 lbs.
- Flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
- Strong ability to organize and arrange items according to specific rules or patterns
- Capacity to visualize how items will look when rearranged or moved
- Excellent hearing sensitivity to distinguish differences in pitch and loudness
- Manual dexterity to grasp, manipulate, and assemble objects using hand tools, torque wrenches, forklifts, and cranes
- Good vision for performing detailed tasks
- Work outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions
- Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
