Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble engine parts, such as cylinder heads and blocks.
- Operate die grinders and sanders to achieve precise results.
- Use bead blasters and jet washes to clean engine components thoroughly.
- Conduct magnaflux testing to detect potential cracks or flaws in engine parts.
- Record information accurately relating to machine shop services requested by customers.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in machine shop operations is an asset but not necessary.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 pounds regularly.
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, twisting, bending, walking, and sitting.
- Basic computer knowledge and proficiency is an advantage but not essential.
- Forklift operator experience or willingness to obtain a forklift license is desirable.
- Organizational and time management skills for multitasking and meeting deadlines.
