Position Overview
We are seeking a Production Planner to join our team and play a crucial role in optimizing our production schedules and ensuring smooth manufacturing operations. The Production Planner will be responsible for scheduling container manufacturing in our production facility, coordinating materials and workforce to meet customer demands efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and production scheduling to drive on-time delivery and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to ensure efficient workflow and on-time order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams to balance capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
- Monitor work orders and prioritize jobs to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for process improvement to enhance productivity and reduce lead times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, machine operators, and other stakeholders to align production schedules with operational capabilities.
- Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, adjusting plans as needed based on real-time constraints.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards within the manufacturing process.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports on production status, efficiency metrics, and workflow bottlenecks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production scheduling or a related manufacturing planning role.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, and resource planning.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and scheduling software is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with multiple departments.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience in the packaging or container manufacturing industry is a plus.
