What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Teacher position at Arnold & Porter?

The Arnold & Porter Children’s Center has an opening for a Lead Teacher in our infant room (children between 3 months old to 15 months). The hours for this position are 9 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday. The Lead Teacher will work as a part of a team to develop and implement the curriculum and maintain a positive and welcoming environment. The Lead Teacher will use her / his knowledge of NAEYC Accreditation guidelines and best practices to support the development of the children. We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging educator who has flexibility, is a team player, and who views early childhood education as a profession.
Qualifications :
- Must have a minimum of an AA or BA in Early Childhood Education or related educational field with at least 12 college credits in ECE.
- Experience as a Lead Teacher and experience teaching infants.
- CPR / First Aid Certified.
- Proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to perform activities with children for extended periods of time and be outdoors for regular, prolonged activities.The anticipated base salary for this position is $63,838 to $75,103. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and / or from which they will be performing the job.

As a nonexempt position, this position is eligible for overtime.
The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually.
