Job Title : Housekeeper / Porter

Location : Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

Shift : Full Time, 7 : 00 am 3 : 00 pm

Salary : Competitive Pay, Commensurate with Experience

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

• Execute daily housekeeping duties per work assignments, including cleaning and polishing furnishings, fixtures, and room heating or cooling units.
• Sanitize bathroom fixtures, remove watermarks, and ensure cleanliness of resident rooms, recreational areas, and bathrooms.
• Maintain clean floors through sweeping, mopping, waxing, and disinfecting. Proper caution signs must be used.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and disinfect carpets as needed; clean walls, ceilings, and mirrors.
• Dispose of waste and maintain assigned areas free of hazards, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
• Follow fire safety, hand-washing, and disposal procedures, wearing appropriate safety gear as required.
• Handle and mix cleaning chemicals according to established procedures, adhering to safety standards and using SDSs.
• Report any accidents, hazardous conditions, or equipment issues to your supervisor immediately.
• Ensure the organization and cleanliness of utility closets and janitorial areas, reporting supply needs and light maintenance tasks.

Requirements :

• Ability to make independent decisions and accept constructive feedback.
• Commitment to the care and upkeep of supplies, equipment, and housekeeping areas, with regular inspections to ensure safety and order.
• Capable of following detailed instructions for cleaning compound mixing and applying new housekeeping methods.
• Strong communication skills to convey resident conditions or supply needs effectively.
