We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced RN Weekend Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis.
Position Overview :
As the RN Weekend Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Director of Nursing (DON) and Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) by overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department during your shift. You will ensure that nursing services personnel are adhering to their job descriptions, participate in facility surveys, and contribute to the development and implementation of resident care plans.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the DON and ADON in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing department functions.
- Ensure compliance with current regulations, guidelines, and facility policies.
- Participate in facility inspections and surveys as requested.
- Contribute to the development and updating of resident care plans.
- Oversee and participate in LPN and CNA evaluations, disciplinary actions, and decisions regarding staffing.
- Communicate resident concerns and updates to physicians, families, and nursing administration.
- Ensure adequate staffing for quality care during each shift.
- Conduct daily rounds to monitor nursing staff performance and report findings to the DON.
- Address complaints and grievances, making appropriate reports as needed.
- Welcome and assist newly admitted residents.
- Participate in daily morning reports and Quality Assurance meetings.
- Assist with medication passes, treatment schedules, and direct nursing care.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, charting, and MDS completion.
- Monitor and assess residents for changes in condition, providing early intervention as needed.
- Oversee emergency equipment checks, narcotic counts, maintenance work orders, and room readiness for new admissions.
- Investigate accidents / incidents and ensure appropriate documentation to prevent abuse.
- Collaborate with social services on discharge plans and run PMP reports prior to discharge.
