We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Breast Health Coordinator to join the Arnot Health team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and distribution of breast imaging reports, managing patient follow-ups, and maintaining compliance with State and Federal regulations. What You'll Do
- Review and manage daily examination worklists for completeness and accuracy before finalizing reports.
- Facilitate follow-ups for indeterminate or suspicious breast imaging exams, including scheduling additional imaging or biopsy procedures.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding to process exam orders and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with the Nurse Navigator and clerical team to manage patient follow-ups and abnormal findings.
- Serve as a key point of contact for referring physicians, patients, and caregivers, directing inquiries to clinical staff when needed.
- Support compliance with MQSA inspections, ACR accreditation, NYDOH inspections, and EQUIP case selection.
- Ensure timely distribution of examination reports and correspondence.
- Maintain patient records and actively manage recall intervals for overdue examinations.
- Cross-train with the Nurse Navigator to ensure seamless workflow and coverage.
- Assist with scheduling, chart preparation, biopsy follow-up, and pathology entry.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities and assist in preparing for audits.
- Provide courteous and professional communication with patients, physicians, and healthcare staff.
- Required: High School Diploma.
- Preferred: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative healthcare setting, with a focus on breast cancer/women’s health.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with EPIC, PenRad, PACS, and Soarian preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and imaging modalities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and self-motivation.
- Frequent talking, hearing, and vision use.
- Regular lifting of up to 15 lbs; occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling.
