Current NYS Radiologic Technologist License.
Experience

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (cpr) Requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire date.
Physical Demands
Work requires walking, standing often in excess of 90% of the time. Work requires bending, stooping, reaching and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., moving patients. Work requires pushing stretchers and wheelchairs.
Exposure Category
Category II. Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. But employment may require performing unplanned Category I tasks.

Main Function
Under remote supervision, performs radiographic procedures as ordered by the physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Reports to Director of Operations at Outpatient Services.
Duties And Responsibilities
- 1. Produces radiographs according to established SOP’s:
- Positions and transfers patients.
- Provides immobilization devices as required.
- Selects and operates equipment as directed.
- Produces x-ray images using digital PACS System.
- Provides adequate radiation protection by shielding of patients and selection of proper exposure techniques.
- Properly identifies images with patient info and position markers.
- 2. Performs digital cassette QC on a weekly basis and cleaning as required.
- 3. Is responsible for daily restocking of procedure rooms and dark rooms with appropriate supply and linen levels.
- 4. Performs daily cleaning of radiographic equipment and accessories after each patient.
- 5. Reports equipment that is damaged, non-functioning, or in need of repair to the immediate supervisor.
- Maintains compliance with HAZMET and Fire manuals. Notifies supervisor of any non-compliance issues.
- Adheres to the Outpatient Services Administrative Policy manual and to the Outpatient Services Policy and Procedures.
- 8. Always wears ID badge and film Badge, and practices good radiation safety techniques by adhering to the ALARA policy.
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude, and demonstrates compliance with Arnot Health dress code.
- Assists as needed in all areas of the Outpatient Services office whenever not performing radiologic technologist duties.
- 11. Maintains a current NYS license.
- 12. Administrative responsibilities:
- Maintains adequate records as directed.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness.
- Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the department.
- Maintains ethical relationships.
- Is responsible for attending all annual, mandatory educational programs as required by position.
- Provides age appropriate care to neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
