Summary

Duties And Responsibilities
Performs alternately or in rotation one or more of the following tasks as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Must be able to understand and communicate both verbal and written instructions.
Experience
On job training.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (cpr) Requirements
No CPR required.
Physical Demands
Must work rapidly and in close cooperation with fellow workers on large articles such as spreads and sheets. Must stoop, bend, and lift in excess of 25 lbs. On feet all of time.

Duties And Responsibilities
Performs alternately or in rotation one or more of the following tasks as assigned.
- 1. Prepares linen by shaking out creases and folds, segregates semi-dry linen preparatory to feeding into ironing machine.
- 2. Feeds flat work into ironer by guiding, straightening edges and smoothing wrinkles out.
- 3. Receives finished linen from ironer, folds, segregates torn, stained and other imperfect articles for re-working.
- 4. Classifies, stacks, and folds linen for various department.
- 5. Operates spreading machine as required.
- 6. Operates small piece folder as required.
- 7. Operates Nexus Tablet to place all orders in tablet daily.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Cleans and lines all u-bins used for stacking clean linen.
- Pulls linen, with assistance if necessary, to baskets and/or bins from dryer and carts.
- Counts regent linen and gives the numbers to the Department Manager.
- May assist in other areas of production.
- Operates the press machine to press linen as needed.
- Operates hand held tablet to input all clean linen going out of laundry.
- Treats linen for stains and spots not removed in standard laundering procedures, using special chemical and/or product.
- Is responsible for attending all annual mandatory educational programs as required by position.
