Arnot Health is seeking a Float Medical Office Assistant to support our Medical Specialties team. This role provides essential administrative and clinical assistance across various outpatient specialty offices, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
Your Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Day shift
- 40 hours per week
What You’ll Do:
As a Float Medical Office Assistant, you will work across multiple specialty clinics, providing coverage and support wherever needed. Your key responsibilities will include:
Patient Interaction & Front Desk Support : Greet patients, schedule appointments, check-in/check-out, and manage phone calls.
Administrative Duties : Verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, process referrals, and assist with billing and medical documentation.
Clinical Support : Take patient vitals, perform venipunctures, assist with minor procedures, prepare medical instruments, and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized.
Medical Records & Coordination : Maintain accurate patient records, transcribe provider notes, and coordinate follow-up care and test scheduling.
Travel Flexibility : This is a float position requiring travel to various Medical Specialties offices within the Arnot Health system, often on short notice.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a highly adaptable and organized individual with a passion for patient care and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have:
Education : High school diploma required; completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred.
Experience : At least three years of medical office experience preferred; familiarity with medical coding and specialty clinic operations is a plus.
Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Skills : Strong multitasking ability, excellent communication, and a patient-focused approach to care.
Physical Demands:
This position requires light physical effort, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of medical supplies. Candidates must be comfortable traveling between multiple locations as needed.
