Overview
Aroma Joe's is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to add to our dynamic and growing team. This individual will be responsible for monthly financial reports, monthly reconciliations, assisting vendors, collections, and customer service while maintaining the highest level of professionalism. Previous experience in franchising is a plus, but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts across 8 entities
- Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
- Download and code weekly banks feeds to QuickBooks
- Weekly system-wide sales reporting
- Maintain records and reconciliations for all vendors and bank accounts
- Maintaining documentation for accounts receivables, accounts payable, and purchasing
- Answer/manage vendor inquiries as required
- Pay vendor invoices in a timely fashion
- Reconciling equipment edit list for new locations
- Update and maintain process documentation
- Assist with the annual external audit
- Comply with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
- File monthly sales tax and initiator of deposit reports with States we do business in
- Assisting with additional finance and sales related projects
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
- 1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred, not required
- Experience with QuickBooks is strongly preferred
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work activities, and solve problems with a solution-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of MS Office and strong Excel skills are necessary
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and apply feedback to improve performance
- Strong attention to detail and naturally inquisitive
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work with franchisees
- Ability to adapt to change easily and work cross-functionally with other departments

Hours of Operation
This is a full-time, hybrid position of two days optional remote (Monday and Friday and three days required in the office, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. This position may require additional hours outside these work hours, including nights and weekends to complete the job requirements.
