Job Overview:
The Human Resource (HR) Associate is responsible for supporting the admin department in various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for helping employees and management thrive in a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in resolving employee issues and conflicts in a fair and professional manner.
- Help implement employee engagement initiatives and support team-building activities
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with hiring managers.
- Conduct new employee orientations and help onboard new hires.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation and employment records are completed accurately and timely.
- Compliance and Recordkeeping:
- Maintain employee records, ensuring they are updated and compliant with company policies and relevant labor laws.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Help conduct audits of HR processes and policies as needed.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in tracking employee performance reviews and appraisals.
- Help manage and maintain performance management systems.
- Support managers with feedback and coaching to ensure employee development.
- Benefits Administration:
- Provide assistance with benefits enrollment and administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
- Answer employees' questions regarding benefits and payroll.
- Training and Development:
- Assist in identifying training needs and organizing training sessions for employees.
- Help with the preparation and distribution of training materials.
- General HR Support:
- Support the HR team with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and report preparation.
- Assist in organizing employee events, workshops, and other initiatives that promote workplace culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Previous HR experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
