Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our team at Aromatic Fragrances International LLC, a leader in the fragrance manufacturing industry. In this key role, you will ensure the efficient scheduling and execution of production processes, contributing directly to our ability to deliver premium fragrance products to our customers on time and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning: Develop and maintain detailed, accurate production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and available resources. Ensure the timely production of fragrance products while minimizing lead times and maximizing operational efficiency.
- Resource Coordination: Collaborate with production, purchasing, and inventory teams to ensure raw materials, components, and packaging are available and prepared for production runs.
- Order Management: Review and prioritize customer orders to align with production capacity, ensuring that urgent or high-priority orders are addressed promptly without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Schedule Optimization: Continuously assess and adjust production schedules in response to changes in demand, equipment availability, and unexpected delays, with a focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining workflow continuity.
- Performance Monitoring: Track production progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively implement corrective actions to ensure production targets are met.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Foster strong communication and collaboration with various departments, including operations, purchasing, sales, and quality control, to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of products on time.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Provide regular updates to management regarding production progress, resource allocation, and any issues that may impact delivery timelines. Maintain accurate records of production schedules and adjustments.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, and work with the team to implement strategies that enhance scheduling accuracy, operational efficiency, and overall productivity.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing operations. Fragrance, cosmetics, or related industries is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to run detailed reports, analyze production data, and present findings.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
