What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Restaurant Manager position at Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar?
- Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the employees and resources of the restaurant for the efficient, well-prepared, and profitable service of food and beverages. Operates restaurant independently in the absence of General Manager and reports directly to the General Manager.
- Understands completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to company cash handling and loss prevention procedures in accordance with restaurant polices and procedures.
- Work with cooks and other personnel to execute menu items with the highest level of precision and quality. Assists with line checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service in both bar and kitchen.
- Supervise operation of bar to maximize profitability, minimize legal liability, and conform to alcoholic beverage regulations.
- Work with other management personnel to plan marketing, advertising, and any special restaurant functions.
- Direct hiring, training, and scheduling of food service personnel.
- Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
- Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Review and monitor expenditures to ensure that they conform to budget limitations. Work to improve performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
