What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at Arooga's Grille House & Sports Bar?
Cleans and sanitizes the work area before, during and after shift
Practices sanitary and safe food handling at all times
Sets up work station
Prepares all food according to Arooga’s recipes and specifications
Mentally prioritizes tasks to maximize use of time
Dates, labels and rotates all products
Completes all assigned prep work within assigned time lines
Works cook’s line during high volume periods as directed by management
Completes assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects
Completes other job duties as assigned by the Manager, KM, AKM, or KS
Executes shift with maximum skill and efficiency.
Evening, Weekend and Holiday work is required
Reading and verbal communication skills required
Capable of using knives, slicing equipment and other food preparation equipment safely
Able to respond in emergency situations to avoid imminent dangers to self and others
Attention to detail
Ability to read and follow recipes in the manner in which they are written.
Be able to find or have a reliable source of transportation.
Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
