The Aroostook Agency on Aging is seeking a dynamic part-time Philanthropy Officer to assist with our fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about nonprofit work and has a knack for building and maintaining relationships. As a key member of our team, you will help drive our mission forward by fostering a strong donor community. This role will also be identify new fundraising opportunities and ensure the long-term financial stability of the agency to support our mission of improving the lives of older adults in northern Maine.
Qualifications :
- 3 years of philanthropy, fundraising,marketing / sales or equivalent experience required
- Bachelors degree in business management, marketing, sales, communications or related field preferred, associates degree required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with donor management software preferred
- Ability to follow detailed procedures for processing constituent data with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate directly and effectively with others
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Polished professional presence; the ability to interact with trustees and major donors as needed
- A passion for older adults and a commitment to our mission
