What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Coordinator position at Aroostook Agency on Aging?
The Aroostook Agency on Aging is currently looking for a full-time (26 hours Mon-Thursday) Regional Coordinator for our Nutrition Services Program. The Regional Coordinator will work in the St. John Valley and oversee Nutrition Service operations to ensure clients receive exemplary service and quality of services. This position will work remotely from home and be required to travel occasionally to varies towns in the St. John Valley. This position does not require that you have knowledge of "nutrition", so do not let that discourage you from applying!! We are looking for someone that has a heart for the older adults of the region and is able to coordinate Meals on Wheels, Congregate Meals, and be committed to the mission, vision and values of the Aroostook Agency on Aging. You will collaborate with both staff and volunteers of the agency. Some of the essential duties include:
- Recruit, train, oversee and communicate with assigned staff and volunteers.
2. Collaborate with the Nutrition Manager to develop volunteer training materials.
3. Serve as a key point of contact for Nutrition Services in designated region.
4. Build community awareness of Nutrition Services available within designated region.
5. Oversee program quality, consumer satisfaction and department efficiencies.
6. Evaluate and determine consumer eligibility for nutrition programs; complete appropriate correspondence.
7. Monitor WellSky dashboard to assure consumers are being served within the outlined timelines.
8. Enroll nutrition consumers and coordinate routes, rosters, meal deliveries and distributions.
9. Maintain consumer data and records within Wellsky.
10. Act as a resource for Site Coordinators and/or other nutrition staff in the region.
11. Oversee all aspects of regional dining sites.
The Aroostook Agency on Aging promotes and appreciates a work/life balance and currently works a modified work week. You will mainly work 6.5 hours a day from Monday to Thursday. We are requiring the candidate to have 2-3 years of customer service experience, computer skills and ability to include Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook, valid driver's, license and reliable transportation as travel is required, effective communication skills - both oral and written, ability to solve routine problems, and the ability to effectively and efficiently work as part of a team as well as independently. Associate Degree in related field required. Starting wage range is $20.16-$23.18 depending on experience.
