What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Visitation Worker position at Aroostook Mental Health Services, Inc.?
AMHC is excited to announce an opening for the Family Visitation Worker position at our Ellsworth Outpatient location. This is a Full-Time role responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and supervising visits between children and their families. As a Family Visitation Worker, you will be expected to uphold AMHC’s core values: Integrity, Compassion, Excellence, Service, Collaboration, and Respect in all interactions with co-workers, clients, and community members.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Coordinate all communication with DHHS caseworkers to schedule family visitations with Integrity, Compassion, and Respect
- Maintain program scheduling and collaborate with the team to communicate updates
- Identify appropriate venues for visitations
- Supervise visits in accordance with court orders or agreements with Excellence and Service
- Provide parent education through role modeling and support
- Intervene when necessary to ensure the safety and welfare of the child
Schedule:
- This is a 40-hour-per-week position
- Flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the families served

Requirements:- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Experience working with children and families
