Aroostook Regional Transportation System, Inc. ("ARTS"), a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 1979 that provides demand-response door to door transportation services for the people of Aroostook County, Patten/Stacyville in Penobscot County and Danforth in Washington
County, is seeking to fill the full-time position of Dispatcher and Customer Service
Representative.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Dispatch/Customer Service Representative provides efficient, positive, customer service to clients, members of the public, and outside providers; answers informational calls, schedules trips, and directs calls to appropriate personnel.
Qualifications Needed: Candidates must have at least two years of customer service experience; dispatching experience preferred. Skills needed including excellent communication skills and telephone techniques, the ability to utilize computer applications and enter client information in a busy office setting, the ability to effectively manage detailed information and maintain accurate files, and a positive can-do attitude. Familiarity with contracted transportation process, guidelines, policies, and fare structure along with a basic knowledge of the roads, routes, and geography of Aroostook County is a plus.
The hourly rate will be based on experience, and ARTS offers generous holidays and paid time off, as well as an excellent benefits package including 100% COMPANY PAID single plan health insurance.
