We are looking for experienced Set-Up Technicians that can work all shifts.
Overview: Responsible for proper machine set up for injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, production start-up of injection molding machines, and ensuring process parameters for each job/work order are correct and quality control requirements are met.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Requires a minimum of 1 years injection molding processing or machine setup technician experience
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Must supply own hand tools for this position
- Requires ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Responsibilities:
- Set up and tear down molds in the injection molding machines.
- Set up each workstation with all necessary auxiliary equipment per the job being performed.
- Operate forklift to set up, tear down molds, transport raw resin, and auxiliary equipment.
- Communicate continually with Production Supervisor, Scheduler, and Material Handler to efficiently and effectively start up and shut down each individual production run.
- Perform start-up of injection molding machines throughout shift, adhering to production schedule.
- Set up and operate robots/pickers and maintain end-of-arm tooling.
- Troubleshoot process and quality issues.
- Ensure mold cleaning schedules are adhered to during the production shift.
- Document daily process changes, improvements, and update process documents when changes are made to ensure repeatability.
- Ensure cycle times and scrap rates are within identified range.
- Partner with engineering on continuous improvement of processes and equipment, including improved work flows, use of fixtures, auxiliary equipment and automation.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
