We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger to join our team. As a Drywall Hanger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.
- Measure and cut drywall to fit specific areas, including around fixtures and door frames.
- Apply joint tape and compound to seams, ensuring a smooth finish for painting or texturing.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct repairs on damaged drywall, including water damage restoration as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with additional tasks such as fixture installation, door hanging, and basic carpentry as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in drywall hanging or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry techniques and the ability to plumb walls accurately.
- Knowledge of airless paint spraying methods is a plus.
- Experience in masonry work is advantageous.
- Background in the restoration industry preferred, particularly in water damage restoration.
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites while following safety regulations.
