Responsibilities :
As a Production Implementation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the initial production launch of a new product. Your main responsibilities may include :
- Learning about all teams’ abilities and how they are expected to contribute to the project to proactively anticipate roadblocks and take corrective action as needed.
- Overall project management and creating a project timeline for implementation while proactively focusing on roadblocks to ensure completion of milestones on time.
- Providing guidance or personally completing the development, refining, or setting up of manufacturing processes in collaboration with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Industrial Engineering.
- Designing, modifying, sourcing, and implementing basic tools, fixtures, jigs, and workstations as needed to maintain the project schedule when the typical resources don’t have capacity
- Learning and completing ERP functions as required, including inventory adjustments, shop order adjustments, routing set ups and adjustment.
- Assisting with prototype builds to understand the product and to develop work instructions for critical processes.
- Verifying that manufacturing processes are achieving the targeted results and adjusting as needed to support productivity and quality. Montior by establishing metrics and KPI’s.
- Assisting the scheduling and capacity planning for production orders, requiring collaboration with internal and external suppliers.
- Co-ordinating and leading production pilot runs and recommending product enhancements or opportunities to product and manufacturing engineering.
