Responsibilities
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms and public areas.
- Train, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and address any housekeeping-related issues.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Implement effective floor care techniques to maintain the quality of carpets, tiles, and other surfaces.
- Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff performance evaluations and inventory logs.
Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping department of a hotel or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of custodial practices, industrial cleaning methods, and floor care techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with staff, guests, and management.
- A background in hospitality is highly desirable, emphasizing customer service excellence.
