Forklift Operator
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for moving finished products from the production floor to warehouse storage shelves. You will pull products to prepare for shipping, load and unload delivery trucks, and document all your activities. We prefer someone who has previous experience operating a forklift, but we are willing to train the right person for this job. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Move inventory and materials across facilities
Stack and organize large bulk items
Pull inventory to prepare for shipment
Load and unload trucks
Update inventory activity, lists and records
Log all completed tasks
Note any damaged materials and request replacements as needed
Follow all health and safety procedures and regulations
Lift up to 50 lbs., stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb repeatedly with or without accommodations
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18 years required
6 months of experience with inventory software
6 months experience in manufacturing environment
Valid driver’s license
Have or obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire date
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work across multiple organizations in a fast paced, smaller company environment
Experience working with heavy machinery, forklift, or other related equipment
Physical Demands:
Lifting requirements: 50lbs
Standing hours: 90%
Computer hours: 10%
