Demand Planner

Job Summary:
As the Demand Planner your expertise will ensure we can consistently deliver the most innovative solar energy solutions on time, every time. To drive the sourcing strategy for our solar projects, you will review the engineering bill of material (BOM) and source the required project parts in the most cost effective, creative, and optimized manner possible. You will focus on ensuring on-hand inventory is consumed where possible to enhance the success of our Procurement and Inventory teams. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Lead discussions around inventory discrepancy and escalate as necessary
• Facilitate and oversee the BOM to Sales Order (SO) release in SAP
• Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and free of errors
• Optimize logistics costs and truck load quantities
• Optimize procurement costs through the sourcing of the lowest cost parts
• Lead cross functional BOM sourcing meetings and drive sound sourcing decisions
• Coordinate in-house teams (e.g., Fulfillment, Procurement, Inventory, Logistics) to ensure sourcing communication/actions flow quickly and effectively
• Develop macros in Excel
• Identify process efficiency gaps and reduce repetitive work
• Explore Kaizen opportunities to optimize time, effort, and cost savings
• Collaborate with project managers to lead and bring to completion change orders
• Review drawing exceptions with engineering team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree i n b u s i ne s s a d m i n i s t r at i o n, supply chain or l ogistics
• 3 y e a r s of e x pe r i en c e i n s up p l y c h a i n and demand planning
• 3 years working experience with Microsoft Office
• 2 years reading and interpreting technical specifications

Preferred qualifications:

• Comprehensive Microsoft Excel analytical skills, including pivot tables
• P r i or S A P or si m il ar MRP p l a nn i ng s y s tem e x pe r i e n c e
• AP I C S or other similar certifications
Ability to work across multiple organizations/departments in a fast paced, results-driven company
