You will provide key support to the engineering staff with a wide variety of projects. Your primary role will include ensuring accurate labeling and inventory control of products and components and the coordination & optimization related of resources and processes at our Chandler, Arizona test laboratory. As the Inventory Process Control Specialist/Technician, you will be responsible for receiving, organizing and storage of inbound parts and equipment as well as picking, packing, and staging materials for outbound shipment, as needed. This includes safely loading and unloading trucks via forklifts/pallet jacks, detrashing, assigning and documenting storage locations and put away of received parts and equipment. Additional responsibilities include coordination of Devices and Sensors Calibration & the associated logging system, assistance in test set-up, fabrication of test fixtures/materials, and mechanical/structural testing of solar tracker components/equipment, involving the practical application of mechanical/structural engineering technologies to our product and project management systems utilized to track progress to completion. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Assume ownership of test laboratory inventory management system implementation and maintenance
- Maintain and organize inventory control system of test parts to be used for testing and tested parts disposal
- Maintain daily in/outbound shipping, cleanliness, and organization of the laboratory warehouse
- Identify opportunities & lead projects for continuous improvement of laboratory warehouse practices
- Participate in laboratory warehouse setting for staging/loading/unloading material.
- Identify, label and stage materials properly for inbound and outgoing test equipment and parts
- Packaging & Unpackaging items, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks when needed
- Maintain laboratory material through organizing, cleaning designated shipping areas on a regular basis
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of components in designated shipping and storage areas
- Ability to load/unload materials and products on and off semi-tractor trailers
- Coordinate with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency within our testing department
- Coordinate Devices and Sensors Calibration & maintain the associated logging system
- Procure test materials, testing equipment and assembly
- Purchasing tools, parts, and other equipment
- Help to maintain/calibrate test equipment
- Participate in test support meetings
- Read test plans and help facilitate testing projects
- Interpret information/instructions to maintain testing objectives
- Set up testing components, fixtures, instruments, sensors and assemblies
- Help fabricate, assemble and operate testing equipment
- Prepare data using spread sheet software
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
- Utilize project management software to track receipts and allocation of parts to test projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good written and oral communication skills
- 2 years of experience in proven warehouse practices and methods
- 2 years of Forklift/pallet jack skills
- 2 year with Microsoft Office applications and warehouse computer software
- 2 years working experience with:
- Occupational hazards, safety precautions and safe work practices
- Materials, tools and methods used in fabrication & the troubleshooting/repair, maintenance and servicing of equipment and devices
- Valid driver’s license
- Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering
- Experience as a testing technician including utilization of math applications and demonstrating technical outcomes with engineers
- Experience in use and care for hand and machine tools
- Skill in the use of meters and gauges
- Skills to troubleshoot, detect, and correct equipment failures
- Experience utilizing electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical schematics and technical publications
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
- Deadline driven with the ability to work well independently
- Ability to work across multiple organizations in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand 25-50%
