Job Description:
- Lead accounting efforts and research for M&A transactions, including business combinations, goodwill impairment, equity, and stock-based compensation, income statement classification, fair value measurement, and tax provision analysis.
- Draft and assist in implementing accounting policies following U.S. GAAP.
- Interpret and implement new reporting amendments and standards.
- Prepare annual financial reports in anticipation of audits.
- Support and train accounting team members on newly implemented standards, policies, and regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads and team members to ensure changes support the accounting team’s functionality.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on technical accounting matters.
- Prepare technical accounting memos for review by the audit committee.
- Assist in establishing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
Position Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and NetSuite.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP technical accounting, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to work remotely.
